Caskey Group turns its graphic talents to restore a
decommissioned fighter jet.
A Brief History
The F-14B Tomcat occupies an important role in our nation’s proud aviation and military history. This
Tomcat F-14B in particular began her service to the United States in 1988. She flew missions in Operation
Desert Shield and Operation Desert Fox. The jet was involved in many firsts during the Desert Fox
deployment, including being the first to use the latest targeting, bombing, and night vision technologies.
After September 11, 2001, the jet flew missions as part of the International War on Terror between 2002
and 2005, before being retired from flight in September, 2005. She has been on display at the VFW Post in
East Berlin since 2007.
