Caskey In The Community
Posted on June 27th, 2013
In the month of June, Caskey was very involved in our community by participating in two very unique and beneficial challenges. Caskey treats its community like its customers; if the community doesn’t succeed, neither will the companies that work within it.
First, Caskey employees participated in the Relay For Life at York County School of Technology on June 21st and 22nd. Relay For Life is a national nonprofit organization that raises funds to help find the cures for all types of cancers and believe that by finding these cures, survivors will be able to celebrate more birthdays. Caskey raised $2,029.10. Caskey’s Relay For Life Project was a big success and a special thanks goes out to Michele Chen and Judy Ruppert who coordinated the whole effort.
The second effort Caskey participated in was the York County Ink Jet Can Off. The challenge involved Caskey and 5 other York County printing communications companies to see who could collect the most food for the York County Food Pantry. Even though Caskey did not win the competition, our employees donated 336 pounds of non-perishable food and helped contribute to the estimated one ton total of food donated in the competition.
Overall, Caskey was very happy to be a part of the local fundraisers and encourages everyone to get involved in their local communities.
