Town of Thurmont Wins Big!

The Town of Thurmont’s Walk, Bike & Drive Map recently won the Maryland Regional Parks Association’s Showcase of Excellence in Marketing and Communication Award for Best Activity Guide in the “Population Under 50,000” category. The guide was designed and printed by Caskey Group and beat out several other prominent cities, including Ocean City and Annapolis to take home this prestigious award.
We’re honored to have been a part of the success of this project and thrilled that The Town of Thurmont shared this wonderful news with us. Congratulations, Town of Thurmont – we hope this recognition encourages many more visitors to explore your wonderful town!
The following was sent to us by Vickie Grinder from the Town of Thurmont:
“I wanted to share some exciting news with you that pertains to your company and outstanding staff! Every year the Maryland Regional Parks Association (MRPA) awards several winners for each category for their Showcase of Excellence for Marketing and Communications. This is broken down into two categories, awards under a population of 50,000, and a category for over a population of 50,00 for the same awards. I am proud to say, that Thurmont was the recipient of this award for Best Activity Guide in the under 50,000 population category. Our Thurmont Walk, Bike, & Drive Map was created by Caskey Group.
I would just like to acknowledge Rob Dunbar for his outstanding talent, and ability to illustrate what was a very challenging project for all involved. Rob not only exceeded my expectations of this award-winning brochure, but beyond that, made it fun, non-stressful, and a joy to work with! I have worked with Rob on a few other projects of which are all high caliber, but this time he took a drawing on a piece of paper and created a Maryland award-winning brochure!
Another individual who should be recognized is Ann Zortman. No matter how many times I asked her for revised quotes, different options, she always amazes me at how fast she gets back to me with those critical elements of any project!
This brochure was a huge undertaking for all, but I truly believe it would never have had the same results without talented and caring employees like Rob and Ann. I can assure you, I know I drove them crazy like most clients probably do, but they always made me feel like I was their only customer during the
process. That is customer service!
In addition, Tim and your accounting team, have been wonderful with all communications needed for all of our projects.

As you can see we were in a pond of big fish, and the guppy Thurmont, was right alongside of them because of a collaboration of individuals who came to the table and worked together as a team, your company and my team.
